Lodge Hunts

All deer hunts (excluding farmhouse hunts) include accommodations in our comfortable lodge, meals, guide, and in-field transportation and game care. Hunters are responsible for their state hunting license and required permit. Permits will be available the first Saturday in June. The last 2 years, Illinois has had a large number of non-resident tags available! Buckeye Creek can assist with the purchase of deer tags.  Hunters can contact the Illinois Department of Natural Resources or email Buckeye Creek with questions about the latest information or assistance with obtaining your tags.

Farmhouse Hunts

Continuing for the '10-11' deer hunting season, Buckeye Creek Outfitters will again be offering farmhouse hunts.  These hunts will take place from a comfortable farmhouse situated on approximately 600 acres in some of Pike County's best deer ground.  The hunters at the farmhouse will be responsible for their own meals but will be shown the property and our stand sites, and then will be on their own to hunt.  Hunters are welcome to bring their own stands, and because food isn't provided, your cost will be less (see the posted hunt prices below).

Additionally, Buckeye Creek will continue to offer shotgun and muzzleloader hunts from the Farmhouse!  Booking on these dates provides gun hunters access to some of the best hunting in Pike County during one of these prime seasons.

These farmhouse hunts have been well-received so let us hear from you so we can get you booked and headed to Pike County for a great hunting experience!

Rules and Practices

All Buckeye Creek rules apply to hunts at both the Lodge and Farmhouse. Buckeye Creek is proud to practice and monitor quality deer management on all our hunt areas and expects our hunters to abide by and support these practices.  Our buck harvest restrictions require a hunter to harvest a mature buck with an antler spread of at least 16" (typical of a rack that it outside of the animals ears) and with at least eight points.

Buckeye Creek stresses safety and requires all our hunters to abide by our safe hunting standards during their hunt.  Always wear a safety harness; Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the field; Know your skill and personal limitations while in the field.  Any violation of these rules will terminate the hunt.  We want our hunters to have a "quality" experience during their visit and these rules are in place to insure that for everyone. Ask our staff should you have any questions about our practices or policies.

All other hunt rules and quality deer rules apply.

Bow Hunter's Special for 2010-11 Season!

Buckeye Creek is offering hunters an affordable way to extend their hunting opportunities this season! After you've fully paid for your hunt, Buckeye Creek will allow you to return for additional days of bow hunting later in the season at a rate of $150/$100 per day, respectively for a Lodge and Farmhouse hunt.  The daily rate provides for your overnight lodging, meals (if applicable) and access to the property for great Pike County hunting! What a great way to get back in game if your still looking to fill you tag!

Your additional days are based on availability.  Call or email for more details.

As always the schedule shows dates and availability for our standard 5 day hunts.  Buckeye Creek can work with you and your party to customize hunts for other available dates.  To check availability of all possible dates, call (847-359-5912) or email us (SFerg82@aol.com) for more details.
